Lung Force expo set for Nov. 10 in Omaha

The LUNG FORCE Expo is a program designed for patients, caregivers and healthcare providers to learn more about the latest trends, resources and research surrounding lung cancer, COPD and asthma. It is scheduled for Nov. 10 at the Embassy Suites, 555 South 10th Street in Omaha.

Speakers from a variety of fields will present current medical information on topics that have the most impact on those whose lives are touched by these conditions, as well as provide up-to-date medical information for healthcare professionals to help support patients.

Photos, winners from 2015 State Conference

The NSRC’s 2015 State Conference moved to Lincoln this year. Meeting rooms in the Holiday Inn Downtown were packed with more than 160 respiratory care professionals who gathered to earn CEUs and connect with their peers.

Several awards were announced during the conference. Respiratory Therapist of the Year winners were Tim Kelly, Omaha; Christine Villegas, Lincoln and Linda Nelson, outstate.

AARC board approves educational standards

AARC membership is a win-win-winThe AARC Board of Directors met for its spring meeting recently in Dallas, TX and moved ahead on several initiatives that will directly advance the profession. Among the actions were approval of a toolkit and briefing paper to help achieve the goals of the 2015 and Beyond project, as well as approval of new CoARC standards for educational programs.
