Training Course For the National Response Framework Mon, 4 Feb 2008 23:00:00 -0600


WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) today released the on-line IS-800.B National Response Framework (NRF), An Introduction training course. The NRF, which focuses on response and short-term recovery, articulates the doctrine, principles and architecture by which our nation prepares for and responds to all-hazard disasters across all levels of government and all sectors of communities.

 

Omaha Metropolitan Medical Response System Area Purchases 61 Ventilators

 

January 11th the Omaha area hospitals which are in the OMMRS (Omaha Metropolitan Medical Response System) area received 61 ventilators. They will be available for use by early to mid February following RT staff and Biomed training. These ventilators were purchased with federal funding in response to pandemic/disaster planning.

Department of Health and Human Services Seeking RRT/CRT Professionals

 

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is seeking respiratory care practitioners who are willing to be hired under HHS' emergency hiring authority when respiratory therapy expertise is needed to respond to natural or man-made disasters.
