AARC board approves educational standards

AARC membership is a win-win-winThe AARC Board of Directors met for its spring meeting recently in Dallas, TX and moved ahead on several initiatives that will directly advance the profession. Among the actions were approval of a toolkit and briefing paper to help achieve the goals of the 2015 and Beyond project, as well as approval of new CoARC standards for educational programs.

The AARC also has released a new flyer for recruiting new members. The flyer (PDF) explains how AARC membership is a win-win-win for everyone. NSRC members can download it and send it to potiential new members.

15 rooms added to block for 2015 conference

Fifteen more rooms have been added to the block of hotel rooms for participants in the 2015 NSRC State Conference. The event will be held at the Holiday Inn Haymarket in Lincoln.

The rooms will be available through Sunday, May 3. Those registering will need to state that they are registered for the NSRC Conference in order to obtain the discount.

RTs among clinicians named ‘Midlanders of the Year’

Every year, the Omaha World-Herald does a feature story on the person who made the biggest impact on their community in the past 12 months.  In 2014, the honor went to the brave clinicians at the Univeristy of Nebraska Medical Center who make up the center’s biocontainment unit. Four NSRC members were among those honored.
