Run for NSRC office

The Nebraska Society for Respiratory Care, NSRC is excited to open enrollment for new Board positions for the 2012 term. (Starts June 2011 through June 2012).

There are four positions open.  To run for the NSRC board, you must be an AARC member and be licensed to practice respiratory care in Nebraska. Open positions are:

 

  • President-Elect (a 3-year commitment, 1st year, you assist the president and learn the ropes before you take office. The 2nd year you serve as president and the 3rd year as advisor to the new president.) The President-elect shall serve until the next annual business meeting and then ascend to the office of President.  He/she shall become acting President and shall assume the duties of the President in the event of the President’s absence, resignation, or disability and shall perform such other duties as shall be assigned by the President or Board of Directors.
  • Vice President-Elect (a 2-year commitment, as you assist the current vice president in planning and implementing the NSRC state conference and learn the ropes before you take office as VP)  The Vice President-elect shall serve until the next annual business meeting and then ascend to the office of Vice President.  He/she shall become acting Vice President and shall assume the duties of the Vice President in the event of the VicePresident’s absence, resignation, or disability and shall perform such other duties as shall be assigned by the President or Board of Directors.  He/she shall be the vice chairperson of the program and education committee.  He/she will also serve as a member of the Awards Committee.
  • Treasurer (a  2-year commitment) The Treasurer shall:  have charge of all funds and securities of the NSRC, endorsing checks, notes or other orders for the payment of bills, disbursing funds as authorized by the Board of Directors and/or in accordance with the adopted budget, depositing funds as the Board of Directors may designate.  The Treasurer shall see that full accurate accounts are kept, and make a written financial report at every regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Directors.
  • Director – Lincoln (is a 3-year commitment, this position meets with respiratory directors and managers on necessary issues that relate to respiratory care and our society.)  The directors make official reports at every regularly scheduled meeting of the board.
